persona “modelo”. En este sentido, la medicina, teniendo como fundamento principal la “objetividad”, dicta constantemente
“neutrales” que, a su vez, están investidas de carácter moral, político, social y económico. De esta manera, la medicina como
ciencia imparte dictámenes mayoritariamente absolutos y categóricos, imparte verdades, legitimadas por la sociedad, es
decir, determina, a través de los medios institucionales criterios de comportamiento en la población en nombre de la salud.

salud física, un ideal de salud social. El desorden civil, por tanto, se compara con una enfermedad. En el lenguaje político, la

Las etiquetas “sano”, “enfermo” forman parte de una sujeción al control médico, se extienden en la sociedad como conceptos
naturalizados en la vida cotidiana. Si bien es probable que no se condene como antes a la persona por estar “enferma”, lo que
sucede en realidad es que la culpa se ha desplazado a los actos propios. Por ejemplo, el hecho de interrumpir un tratamiento,
de no asistir a tiempo a una consulta médica por un malestar, hace que las personas sean responsables de su patología y sus
consecuencias, es decir, se punitiviza todo acto que vaya en contra de las “normas” o “recetas” del paso a paso impartidas en
un consultorio; no se cuestiona, en todos los casos, cuáles fueron las circunstancias que llevaron a la persona a no asistir.
Otra de las situaciones que ocurren en algunos contextos es que se tiende a decirle a él o la paciente las consecuencias de una
determinada acción y el “castigo”, y no pautas determinadas que le permitan conocer y comprender el funcionamiento de su
organismo, en busca de una transmisión de saberes que lo trabaje de manera integral.
Actualmente, debido a las medidas adoptadas para evitar la propagación del COVID-19 en la población, se ha transitado por
dos etapas: la primera, el desconocimiento de la sociedad en general sobre cómo actuar en el medio de una pandemia, lo que
llevó a una sobredosis de información de diversas fuentes, generando sentimientos de confusión y miedo; y la segunda, la
establecidas por la misma, era sancionado socialmente e incluso culpabilizado por ser caso positivo de COVID-19, dejando
afuera diversas características estructurales que llevaron a sectores sociales vulnerables a no cumplir con el ASPO.
A esto se lo conoce como el proceso de medicalización de la sociedad: un instrumento del MMH para el control social. La
medicalización hace que la medicina se apropie de áreas que no le son totalmente propias, con función de: normatización
