The challenge of teaching the history of the Americas Latinas today

Abstract
In times of profound social and cultural crisis—such as the one we are currently experiencing—when we are inundated with messages that distort reality and uphold fallacies rooted in a "post-truth" that discredits scientific knowledge, we must reflect on how to counter this folly regarding the teaching of history. It is against this backdrop of concern that I propose we examine the educational curricula concerning "Our History"—that of Latin America—which is, in essence, the history we learned as heirs to European modernity, and which capitalism conceals beneath the cloak of globalization.
