Abstract

“Barro Tal Vez - Catamarca” is a ceramics project founded on a deep respect for the local past and a firm commitment to safeguarding the memories that reside in the valleys of Catamarca, materializing them through the practice of an ancestral craft. The cornerstone of its trajectory is a working methodology that merges exhaustive and reflective research into the ancient cultural expressions of its land with collaborative, experimental, and site-specific creation. Since its inception in 2016, it has received various forms of support through grants from the National Arts Fund, the Ministry of Culture of Argentina, and the Municipality of San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca. It has coordinated and participated in experimental research projects, as well as in the design and installation of solo and group exhibitions.
