GENERAL STRUCTURE
Verify that the final version of the work is structured in the following order:
- Title of the work: in uppercase, Times New Roman font, size 1 6, bold, centered alignment. In
Spanish and English.
- Summary and Abstract: maximum 1 50 words, font Times New Roman, size 1 2, justified
alignment, single line spacing.
- Keywords: in uppercase, Times New Roman font, size 1 2, justified alignment, separated by
hyphens.
- Bibliographic references: they will be listed at the end of the text as stipulated in APA for each
type of source.
Format
- A4 sheet, Times New Roman font, size 1 2, 1 .5 line spacing, justified alignment, with top,
bottom, left, and right margins of 2.54 cm.
- The subtitles will be in lowercase and bold, left-aligned, and without bullets or numbering.
- There will be no space between paragraphs of the same style.
- Apply space after the paragraph before a subtitle and after the subtitle.
Editorial
To begin the development of the work, the subtitle "Introduction" (or equivalent expressions)
should be omitted to avoid pragmatic redundancy. It is understood that the first paragraph fulfills
this function.
- Priorize the expression of ideas in short and clear propositions; avoid using ambiguous or
polysemous terms that make them difficult to understand.
- The use of inclusive language when referring to mixed or non-binary populations is accepted
(either through the letter x or e, as appropriate). If not considered appropriate, prioritize the use
of terms or linguistic expressions that reflect this plurality, avoiding the use of the generic
masculine as universal.
To highlight a word or expression, only the italic letter will be used. Uppercase letters or
underlines will not be used within the text.
Direct and indirect quotations
- Direct quotations that do not exceed 40 words must be placed within the same text, between
double quotation marks, the reference will be followed by the quotation, punctuation mark after
the closing parenthesis. Example: "Moral itself − how, would it be a 'will to negate life', a secret
instinct of annihilation, a principle of ruin, of diminishment, of slander, a beginning of the end?"
(Nietzsche, 201 2, pp. 33-34).
- Direct quotes exceeding three lines (40 words) must be placed in a separate paragraph,
without quotation marks, same font as the text, size 1 2, with 2.5 cm left indentation, single line
spacing. The reference is indicated after the final point of the quote, no period after the
parenthesis. Then, insert a space after the paragraph. Example:
In this sphere, that is, in the law of obligations, the world of moral concepts "guilt" (Schuld),
"conscience", "duty", "sanctity of duty" has its native home - its beginning, like the beginning of
all great things on earth, has been deeply and long spattered with blood. (Nietzsche, 1 998, p.
73)
- Indirect or attributed quotations are part of the text, do not use quotation marks, and will be
followed by the reference.
References
- The correct structure is:
[in parentheses][author's surname][comma][space][year][comma][space][p./pp.][space] [number
of page(s)][in parentheses].
They should be included in the text, following the citation. Example: (Nietzsche, 201 2, pp.
33-34).
- In the case of works by the same author published in the same year, they will be distinguished
from each other by using consecutive lowercase letters, following alphabetical order. Example:
(Nietzsche, 201 2a, p. 1 4), (Nietzsche, 201 2b, p. 55).
