The theological principles of neoliberalism: a reinstatement of christianity’s subjective practices
Main Article Content
Abstract
One of the key elements in the Foucauldian analysis of neoliberalism as a governmental reason and as a subjectivation system has been understanding the base of its practices as a unique form from the Christian pastorate. In this case, within Foucault’s study about the neoliberal subjectivation process, an exam can be found surrounding the training exercises inside the Christian religion, as such as the implementation of a regime of truth. From this, different thinkers developed theories surrounding this problem, of which the following stand out Christian mechanisms of psychological subjection stand out and have been brought to the current capitalistic and neoliberal context in order to highlight the relationship between the two systems.
