DECONSTRUCTIVE NOTES ON THE BORDER BETWEEN MAN AND ANIMAL

Abstract
The following work aims to address some of the most relevant guidelines around the border between man and animal, established by western metaphysics from the first chapter of the conference dictated by Jacques Derrida in 1997 published under the name The Animal That Therefore I Am (Following). To do this, the deconstruction of this limit will be considered based on Derrida's critique of philosophical logocentrism and, in turn, the possibility of rethinking it in the light of the animal gaze, the figure of l'animot and the existence of a boundary between man and animal as non-anthropocentric ways of approaching the thought of animality.
