Abstract

When scientific initiatives are proposed that try to promote change transcendental in our conception of how certain issues related to our organism or way of life should be, such as, for example, the modification of biological factors that can delay decrepitude, studies and experimentation on our genes, in vitro births, the cure or treatment palliative of diseases classified as terminal, cloning, intellectual movements such as eugenics, whose practices focus on genetic engineering, and transhumanism, which proposes the possibility of improving the human condition through the development of specific technologies, in short, when the science tries to bend the limits of what we believed biologically impossible, an extremely dangerous accusation begins to spread for its work: “humans want to play God”
