Economic Inequality As A Historical Narrative

Main Article Content

Abstract

Economic inequality studied as a historical narrative, starting from the analysis of the structures of historical narratives by Hayden White, allows for an analysis of the concepts of poverty and economic inequality based on the study of some authors and the everyday use of these words. The analysis revealed that the conception of poverty as something pejorative has not only always been present in its narrative use but also has an important ontological role in the affiation of the self from the other.
