Abstract

During the training of a music educator, the dialogues between Music and Philosofía are very common when deepening the study of the so-called periods of art or when investigating a composer and a specific work. But, it is not at all common in the specific area of music education. The Music Stories These are the subjects generally responsible for putting on the table relevant and specific reflections of philosophy for music: Boethius and Nietzsche are exposed, for example, we read the chapters dedicated to music in Plato's The Republic, we know of Schopenhauer's work embodied in Wagner's Tristan and Iseult and Deleuze's texts on the musical time. All these examples configure in the teacher of music education, a weak understanding of the scope of the philosophical discipline. A short approach to ideas is made without questioning or contradicting them, recognizing them as valuable, but moving forward without any connection to music education.
